Their friendship comes from years of keeping a secret from years ago. Doug spends most of his time stalking a girl
names Melissa and building train models in his basement. As the days pass the
truth about their secret comes closer to being revealed. Tension and stress
rises.
Strengths/Textbook:
A wonderful fiction
book that demonstrates good use of plot. The author uses flashbacks as way to
show how Doug and Andy’s friendship came to be. The language use makes this
book a surprising read, from capitalizations to exclamation points. Just when you think you know the secret, you
find out your wrong.
