Summary:
Doug is a young boy who has a best friend named Andy. Although you can’t imagine why they would be so close. Doug is a loner or freak while Andy is popular and plays sports. Their friendship comes from years of keeping a secret from years ago.  Doug spends most of his time stalking a girl names Melissa and building train models in his basement. As the days pass the truth about their secret comes closer to being revealed. Tension and stress rises.

Strengths/Textbook:
A wonderful fiction book that demonstrates good use of plot. The author uses flashbacks as way to show how Doug and Andy’s friendship came to be. The language use makes this book a surprising read, from capitalizations to exclamation points.  Just when you think you know the secret, you find out your wrong.
